EQA Assessment

This scheme is designed to assess the analytical process (genotyping), reporting (and variant nomenclature) and quality of raw data. It is designed to be suitable for laboratories regardless of their routinely sequenced genes.

Sample Details

Five samples (including one control sample) plus two primers (N13 Forward and N13 Reverse) are provided for sequencing.

Complete information for samples will be available in the scheme instructions.

EQA Results

Participants will receive an individual report including educational advice and a scheme report which includes additional information from the cohort of participants including geographical spread, methodologies employed, common errors, learning points and scheme statistics allowing participants to benchmark their results.

Each laboratory will also receive a single certificate listing all EQAs participated in with performance result for each year.

Participation Information

Participants are expected to test samples using the provided N13 Primers according to their routine strategy, to upload base called (processed) sequencing data files for each sample and to complete the results submission form. Please note: Completion of the mandatory results submission form is compulsory in order to provide essential quality information.

This EQA is NOT suitable for labs using workflows where N13 primers cannot be utilised (e.g. M13 or custom primers). If your laboratory is interested in a scheme for M13 primers – please email office@emqn.org to register interest.

No restrictions on number of participants. Open to laboratories from ALL countries (note: some restrictions may apply due to sanctions, delivery network exceptions, restrictions on importation etc).
