Webinar Series Now Available – Ensuring Accurate Classification of HRR Variants (Run 7 Webinar 1)

A joint EMQN/GenQA educational webinar aiming to promote accurate classification of HRR variants is now available at the link below.

This introductory first webinar to Run 7 of the Individual Variant Classification Assessment Scheme took place on the 27th October 2021 where Dr.Simon Patton from EMQN, Prof.Sandi Deans from GenQA and a panel consisting of Professor Kathleen Claes (Center for Medical Genetics, University of Ghent, Belgium), Dr.Trudi McDevitt (Senior Clinical Scientist, Dept. of Clinical Genetics, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin, Ireland) and Dr.Andrew Muranyi (Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Medical Genetics, University of Alberta) provided insight into current best practices for assessing BRCA and other HRR variants as well as a summary of available resources. A short Q & A session followed.
