Webinar Series Now Available – Ensuring Accurate Classification of BRCA and HRR Variants

A joint EMQN/GenQA 1-hour educational webinar aiming to promoting accurate classification of BRCA and other HRR variants is now available at the link below.

This webinar, chaired by Dr. Simon Patton (EMQN) and Professor Sandi Deans (GenQA) took place on 10th December 2020 where two experts in the field, Dr Emma Howard (Scientific Operational Director, North West Genomic Laboratory Hub, Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine UK) and Professor Kathleen Claes (Center for Medical Genetics, University of Ghent, Belgium) discussed details of process and evidence used to classify 3 BRCA variants and 3 variants in other HRR genes (RAD51C, PALB2 and ATM). A summary of participant responses in this Individual Competence Assessment and a Q&A session followed.
