Important change to how we measure EQA performance

We have made a fundamental change to the way we calculate poor performance for genotyping.

From May 2018, poor performance for genotyping will be measured on critical error ONLY. The calculation of mean scores will no longer apply. These changes have been ratified by the Royal College of Pathology (UK) national quality assurance advisory panel, along with the EMQN Board. All laboratories participating in the 2018 schemes will therefore be measured against these new standards. We have made this change to give better clarity to the process, and to make it fairer to all participants. Copies of the new documents will be available for all our users via their EMQN accounts (June 2018). Copies are also available below for information.
